Treatment services

Our services are aimed at adults suffering from mental health problems and include diagnostic assessment of mental health issues and cognitive behavioral psychotherapy for individuals. Only individuals with statutory health insurance can be treated, as we are a training institute and cannot bill private health insurance companies.

Our treatment services cover the following disorders:

  • Affective disorders
  • Anxiety disorders
  • Eating disorders
  • Obsessive-compulsive disorders
  • Post-traumatic stress disorders
  • Attention deficit disorders (ADHD) in adults
  • Personality disorders (e.g., borderline personality disorder)
  • Sleep disorders
  • Mental disorders with cognitiv impairment
  • Mental disorders with associated physical illnesses
  • Psychotic disorders (especially for support in relapse prevention)

Patients with acute risk of self-harm or harm to others, addictions (e.g., alcohol addiction), or acute psychosis cannot usually be treated.

Procedure

Each treatment offer is preceded by a careful assessment and diagnosis: After a telephone consultation, an initial meeting is arranged with a licensed psychotherapist to discuss the individual's concerns and treatment options.

The subsequent psychotherapy is carried out by psychologists in advanced training to become psychological psychotherapists, who are closely supervised by experienced psychotherapists.

Psychotherapy is primarily conducted in individual sessions and is based on cognitive behavioral therapy. If necessary, discussions with relatives can take place. Sessions are usually held weekly (50 minutes).
